Building Blocks of the Body: Minerals

The four major minerals in the body are calcium, sodium, potassium, and magnesium.

They help to catalyze and enhance all the biochemical reactions in the body.  A deficiency in any of these minerals, or a surplus, can have serious consequences in the form of lack of energy, nerve dysfunction, heart arrhythmias, osteoporosis, and so forth.
